Due to the Tasmanian State Nomination Program having limited nomination places left in 2021-2022 program year, only applications from the candidates who have been invited to apply for the nomination will be considered.

Applications lodged before 17:00 (AEST) on 15. April 2022 will be processed as usual until all nomination places are filled. Any remaining successful applications will be nominated against places allocated to Tasmania in the new program year.

The 2022 – 2023 Tasmanian State Nomination Program will open for new applications as soon as full details of quota allocations and any criteria are released by the Australian Government.

South Australia State Nomination Program is close to reaching its quota for subclass 491 visas in 2021-2022 program year which resulted in the South Australian Government requesting further places from the Australian Government.

In the interim, the following measures have been taken to nominate highly skilled applicants whose skills will contribute to South Australia's economy and assist with addressing skills shortages:

  • Priority processing of subclass 190 applications
  • Priority processing of applications for candidates whose subclass 485 visa will expire date within 2021-22 program year
  • Priority processing of applications for highly skilled onshore candidates who are working full-time in their nominated occupation
  • Encouraging applicants for nomination under subclass 491 visa to submit Registration of Interest (ROI) applications for consideration
