MELBOURNE SOUTHBANK DOCKLANDS

Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional Visa) has bene opened to those living and working in Melbourne city in an attempt to fill the remaining places allocated to the skilled visa nomination program for 2022/2023 which ends in June 2023.

Ina n announcement this week, the Victorian government announced that the criteria had been expanded to anyone living anywhere within Victoria, can now apply for Subclass 491.  However, the catch is that those who do apply under Subclass 491 will have to eventually live and work in thee designated regional area. It is understood that the expansion of the eligibility criteria is due to the state having a large number of places to fill.

There are also Fast Track nominations for those who work in health, teaching, or social services if they meet the minimum visa requirements. Fast tracked visa nominations will be selected within 2 weeks and then approved within 5 days if they meet all required criteria. Please see below list of occupations who can receive fast track nominations.

If you believe you are now eligible for either the expanded Subclass 491 or the Fast Track nomination in Victoria, please reach out so we can have one of our migration agents check your eligibility and advise on the next steps of your migration journey.
